Pupil Wellbeing – Place2Be

Place2Be is a charity that works within schools across the country supporting the well being of the whole school community.  One of the most widely used parts of the service is Place2Talk.  Pupils can ask for an appointment to talk about a worry by posting a request in one of the Place2Be 'letterboxes' around the school. They can then come alone or with a friend to speak to a counsellor.  If needs be, they can be referred on for one to one counselling. Parents and carers can also ask to speak to someone if they have a concern about their child or just want a confidential space for themselves.

Latest news: Place2Be School Project Manager

I am writing to let you know that I will be moving on from Gifford at the end of this term. I will miss the school and the work here enormously and I have so enjoyed getting to know many of you.

Mahroo Niroomand will be taking over the project starting after the Easter Holidays. If your child mentions this news please reassure them, as I will, that the service will continue as normal and that Mahroo and I will work together to minimise any change during the handover. Do encourage them to see me if they would like to talk more about it.

Please continue to make use of Place2Be and do contact me if you have any questions.

With very best wishes,

Daisy Anderson
