At Gifford, we are committed to providing our children with a wide variety of extra-curricular activities after school. We offer a range of clubs, free of charge, to children of all ages across key stages 1 and 2 and view these opportunities as another way in which the school can build on the cultural capital of children. Activities include sports, music, art and book clubs. Children are able to explore who they are, what they enjoy and what they are good at whilst having lots of fun, making new friends and developing skills.

Clubs are run by a mixture of school staff and external coaches who we employ. They are very popular and are often oversubscribed. Each half term, different children are invited to join the clubs that are running with the aim of providing all children at least one opportunity to participate in an afterschool club every year.

The UK’s leaders in engaging and educating children through fun physical activity, are delighted to be running the Extended School Club at our school.

JAG plan lots of new and exciting activities every day in order to keep our pupils active and engaged whilst learning the benefits of leading a healthy lifestyle!

The school term will be filled with Super Sports, Crafty Kidz, Fit Fun and Team- Tastic activity sessions, alongside JAG’s special Activity Challenge that takes place across all of their services.

We will also be making full use of JAG’s revolutionary Healthy Active Schools System which enables us to record, monitor and improve pupils’ activity levels.

The provision is Ofsted registered and will provide you with the peace of mind that your child has access to a variety of opportunities and support beyond the school day.
