  • International Fair

    Tue 23 Apr 2024 A Noor

Last week saw us celebrate the amazing diversity at Gifford. It was so fantastic top see so many of our children, staff and families embracing the diverse culture and joining with us to celebrate.

We were also lucky enough to have performances by Living Church and Just Dance Kids. Both performances were amazing and we hope you will join us in thanking them for providing such brilliant entertainment.

Families were very happy and gave lots of positive feedback. Next year we are hoping to make it bigger and better! If you would like to be involved in this or future events, please send an email to parentsupport@gifford.ealing.sch.uk and we will be in touch.

  • World Book Day 2024

    Wed 13 Mar 2024 A Noor

This year we immersed into spellbinding characters and embraced the magic of story telling by dressing up as wizards and witches. Please click here to watch the magic on our YouTube Channel. "I just wanted to say how utterly impressed I was by all the effort made by the school and children for world book day ‘witches and wizards’. Having just watched the YouTube video I can see what great lengths the school took in order to make this a memorable, fun and utterly enjoyable day for the children. Perhaps the theme could be an annual event as it seemed so much fun and it really was such a joy to see so many happy and excited children yesterday." Parent of Alicia, 2 Bleriot.

  • Children's Mental Health Week

    Fri 09 Feb 2024 A Noor

My Voice Matters is about empowering children and young people by providing them with the tools they need to express themselves. During Children’s Mental Health Week here at Gifford, the children expressed themselves by sharing recent examples of when they were Kind, Strong and Proud. They had so much to say that we completed the boards quickly!

There were 4 helpers in Year 5 and Year 6 that supported Place2Be with collecting voices (Emaan, Harnoor, Yusra & Yusuf); Mrs. Masih who helped create the art; and some of her Thursday afternoon Year 6 class who brought it to life. A huge thank you to all involved and well done to the pupils for reflecting and sharing their wonderful examples.

  • Forest School

    Thu 25 Jan 2024 A Noor

Despite the cold, our Year 5 children have returned to Forest School. The children enjoyed digging through layers of time and history to excavate concrete, brick, rock and glass: the children cleaned their findings and made a museum to display the items.

    Wed 10 Jan 2024 A Noor

On Tuesday 10th January, PC Pidding from The Metropolitan Police came in to speak to our Year 5 children about various issues that affect the wider community we live in. He spoke to the children about gangs, knife crime and grooming and built on their learning in PSHE relating to drugs and alcohol. The children learnt about ways to keep themselves safe, advice on making decisions relating to their safety and wellbeing and where to go for help.

The children had the chance to ask questions in a safe and non-judgmental environment.
