Cricket - 11/07/2024

Congratulations to both our Boys  Cricket Teams who took part in their individual competitions at Ealing Cricket Club recently. Two very long days filled with multiple matches and lots of scoring, ultimately finishing with Bronze medals for both teams. The competition was fierce and both teams can be very proud of their achievement. Well done teams!

Sitting Volleyball - 26/06/2024

A huge well done to our Sitting Volleyball Team for their Gold Medals at the London Youth Games! Having won our Ealing Schools competitions earlier in the year we were privileged enough to represent the Borough against all the other London Boroughs at the London Youth Games. There were 15 teams from across London that competed on the day, each being the best from their area. In the group stage we made it through in second place to play a quarter final, winning that and then beating Greenwich in the semi final. The final against Haringey was incredibly close, and as past champions we had to pull out our best to win, which we did. Not many children get the chance to compete at the London Youth Games, and even fewer come away as Champions and the accolade of ‘Best Team in London’. A remarkable achievement and one that the team should be incredibly proud of and remember forever. Well done team!

QuadKids Athletics - 22/05/2024

Having won their local and regional events earlier in the year our Basketball Team went on to represent the London Borough of Ealing at the London Youth Games. The competition was incredibly tough, and the level very high but the team came away with a couple of wins and narrowly missed out on three points by a golden basket. The team can hold their heads high and be immensely proud of what they have achieved this year and the accolade of ‘Best U12 Basketball Team in Ealing 2024’ can never be taken from them. Well done team!

QuadKids Athletics - 22/05/2024

Congratulations to our Year 5 and Year 6 QuadKids Athletics Team who took part in their competition at Perivale Track last week. A team competition where each individual performance contributes to the overall score of the team. Our ‘A’ Team managed to finish 1st and our ‘B’ Team finished 2nd bringing home Gold and Silver medals respectively. A fantastic performance and a warm up event for the Summer Athletics in a few weeks time. Well done team!

Panathlon - 24/04/2024

Well done to our Panathlon Team who took part in the annual Panathlon Challenge event at Ellen Wilkinson last week. A great day out filled with lots of fun and inclusive games.

Basketball Team - 29/03/2024

Huge congratulations to our Year 5 and 6 Basketball Team who took part in their annual event at Cardinal Wiseman in a 3v3 match play event. The team won 6 of their 7 matches and came home with silver medals after some incredible performances. Well done team!

Let Girls Play - 27/03/2024

Well done to our Year 3 and 4 girls who took part in a festival at Larkspur Rovers last week. It was part of the FA ‘Let Girls Play’ initiative to encourage more girls to play football across the entire country and our girls represented Gifford very well. Keep up the good work!

Year 4 Dance - 15/03/2024

A huge well done to our Year 4 Dance squad who took part in the festival at Ellen Wilkinson last week and got to show off their fantastic gym and dance routine. It was very evident that they had worked very hard on their performance and they absolutely nailed it! A special thank you goes to Miss Murphy for taking the time to choreograph the routine and make sure the squad were all perfectly prepared. Well done everyone!

Kurling Team - 19/02/2024

Huge congratulations to our Year 3 and 4 Kurling team for their performance at the Alec Reed competition last week. We took two teams, bringing home Gold and Bronze medals.

A fantastic achievement and one to be very proud of! Well done team.

Badminton Team - 02/02/2024

Well done to our Year 3 and Year 4 Badminton squad who took part in a festival at Cardinal Wiseman School. A great day out playing some fun games, and hopefully inspiring some Badminton players for the future!

Boccia Team - 25/01/2024

Huge congratulations to our Year 5 and Year 6 Boccia team who took part in a competition at Ellen Wilkinson High School last week. It was a very close call for the medals at the end but our team did enough to come away with Gold and first place overall. A great day of competition, fun and excitement. Well done team!

Sports Hall Athletics - 09/01/2024

Huge congratulations to our Year 5 and Year 6 Sports Hall Athletics Teams who had their annual competition at Greenford High last week. We took two teams to compete in some individual events and some team races performing exceptionally well throughout. Both of our teams managed to come away with 2nd place and silver medals in their respective leagues. A tremendous achievement considering the level of competition on the day and something each and every member of both teams can be very proud of! Well done team!

Hockey - 08/12/2023

Well done to our Year 5 and Year 6 Hockey Team who took part in a round robin competition at St Augustine’s Priory last week. A day of tough competition and for some our first experience of competitive hockey. A job well done and some great experience gained for future competitions. Well done team!

Tag Rugby - 10/11/2023

On Thursday, rugby coaches and players from Ealing Trailfinders club visited children in Year 3 to discuss careers in sport followed by a taster Tag Rugby PE session. Children thoroughly enjoyed the experience which has hopefully inspired them to play rugby and explore a career linked with sport.

Football - 20/10/2023

Massive congratulations to our Year 5 and Year 6 Advanced Football team who took part in their annual round robin competition at Gunnersbury Park. The standard from all the schools was exceptional and our team more than held their own going undefeated all day with 4 wins and 3 draws, scoring 30 goals and conceding just 8. We brought home silver medals and can be very proud of our performances throughout the day. We still have our Ealing League fixtures throughout the year to play so plenty more chances for this team. Very well done team!

Panathlon - 18/10/2023

Huge well done to our Year 5 and Year 6 bowlers who took part in the Panathlon Tenpin Challenge last week. The children had a fantastic day out and some very high scores along with some very smart medals among the players! Well done boys! 

Tag Rugby - 11/10/2023

Well done to our Year 3 and Year 4 team who took part in a tag rugby festival at Northolt High School. A fun filled day with lots of games and hopefully our team is inspired to continue rugby in the future. Well done team!

Football - 06/10/2023

Huge congratulations to our Established and Emerging Year 5 and Year 6 football teams for their performances last week. The teams took part in their annual competition at Alec Reed Academy playing 9 matches between them with 8 wins and 1 draw. They did not concede a single goal throughout the tournament.

A fantastic day full of hard work, passion and goals resulting in gold medals all round. Well done team!
