Although attendance is always prioritised so that pupils get the most out of their school experience, including for their attainment and wellbeing, there may still be some instances where Remote Learning provision may be necessary. This may include in case of unforeseen school closures or other individual cases where a pupil is unable to attend school.
In such circumstances, Remote Learning provisions will be put in place to allow the absent pupils to keep on track with their education and stay connected to their peers. Our remote learning provision is designed to provide engaging, high-quality educational experiences that align with our school’s curriculum and values.
We will continue to use Google Classroom as our primary platform for remote learning. Through this platform, pupils will have access to a range of resources, including tasks to complete online, pre-recorded lessons that they can watch at their own pace, and live lessons scheduled at specific times to foster real-time interaction with teachers and peers.
To support access to learning, the school will provide assistance with necessary technology, such as loaning devices to families in need, whenever possible. We are also mindful of the challenges some families face in managing remote learning and will ensure that tasks and instructions are clear, manageable, and adaptable as much as possible.
For this approach to be successful, we rely on the partnership and support of parents and carers. Encouraging and assisting children in engaging with their remote learning activities is vital. We understand that balancing home routines with learning can be challenging, and our staff will be available to offer guidance and address any concerns that arise.
By working together, we can ensure that all pupils continue to learn and thrive, even in circumstances that require them to stay at home temporarily.
