We are delighted to announce that Gifford Primary School and Downe Manor Primary School will formally become The Northala Federation on 13th October 2026, following the completion of the consultation process and approval by both Governing Bodies.

Building on our successful partnership, the federation brings our schools together under one Governing Body, with a shared commitment to providing the very best education and opportunities for every child.

Through shared leadership, resources and expertise, we will strengthen teaching and learning, support staff development and create more opportunities for our school communities to work together.

Both schools will retain their individual names, uniforms and school day timings. Each will continue to celebrate its own identity while benefiting from the support and ambition of our wider federation.
