Our Climate Champions held their first meeting with Mrs Ball this week. As class representatives, they will share their ideas and help care for our school environment. This year, they will work on the new school farm, Hollyer Gardens, the Tiny Forest, recycling and other climate issues. We can’t wait to see what they achieve!
We are incredibly proud of our Uniform Ambassadors, who wear their school uniform with pride and set a wonderful example for others. They help remind us that looking smart and taking care of our uniform is one way to show pride in being part of Gifford. Well done to all of our ambassadors, and thank you for representing our school so brilliantly!
Our pupils put democracy into action as they took part in the Gifford Government Elections!
Candidates from each class worked hard to campaign for their classmates’ votes before pupils headed to our official ballot boxes to make their choices. Everyone who voted proudly received an “I Voted Today” sticker.
The elections provided a fantastic opportunity for children to experience the democratic process first-hand, learning about the importance of having a voice, making informed choices and respecting the views of others.
The votes will now be counted, with the Gifford Government election results announced next week. Well done to everyone who took part, and good luck to all our candidates!
Parents and carers: Why not ask your child about their election experience? Who were the candidates in their class, what ideas did they put forward, and what helped your child make their decision?
It has been lovely to see our pupils returning to school looking so smart and taking pride in their uniform. Thank you to all our families for supporting our school uniform expectations and helping us maintain Gifford’s high standards.
